Why applications get refused
Nobody else puts this on their home page. Every one of these is checkable before you submit. That is what the $50 check does.
Bank statement
Older than 30 days, from a business account when a personal one is needed, or missing the bank's name.
Address
A virtual office or coworking space as your business address. Belgrade increasingly refuses these.
Translation
Done abroad, or by someone who is not a Serbian sworn translator.
Apostille
Missing on a diploma or certificate that needs one.
Frozen business
A sole trader registration that is paused on the day you file.
The portal itself
A file over 5 MB hangs the upload forever. Two files with the same name break it. Nobody tells you.
Insurance
Mandatory in Kragujevac, a bank statement is enough elsewhere. It depends on the city.
The deadline
Eight days to answer a request for more documents. Miss it and the application is refused automatically.

When you should not buy from us
If you have a prior refusal, a criminal record, an appeal to file, or a security question in your file, you need a lawyer and not a service. We will tell you that on the first screen and refund you. We would rather lose $50 than your permit.
Questions people actually ask
Can I just do this myself?+
Yes. The forms are online and many people manage it. What nobody can check for you is your own file: whether your bank statement is the right type, whether your address will be accepted, whether a translation counts. That is what gets people refused, and that is what the $50 check looks at before you submit.
Will I be refused if my sole trader has low turnover?+
On a first permit, usually not. On a renewal, the inspector looks at whether the business is real: invoices, tax paid, an actual address. We check exactly that before you file. If it looks thin, we tell you and we tell you what would fix it.
Do you really file it, or do I still have to do things?+
For done for you, we do everything that can be done online, which is all of it except one visit. You go once for biometrics, and we tell you exactly what happens there and what to bring.
Can I trust you with my passport?+
We are FINLINK DOO, a registered Serbian company. Our registry number is on every page and you can check it at apr.gov.rs. Your files are encrypted and never shared. Our people are named. The agent who took money and vanished is the reason this line exists.
What if it is refused?+
On done for you, your fee comes back. State fees are paid by you directly and nobody refunds those. The exclusions are written out: false information, a missed document deadline, not turning up for biometrics, a frozen business, funds you cannot show. If it is refused for something we should have caught, we refile once free before any refund conversation.
Is $750 a lot?+
The state fee is about 23,000 RSD. Agencies charge 60,000 to 380,000 RSD for the work on top. We charge about 88,000, all of it for our work, all of it written down. And you can start at $50 and only pay the difference if you upgrade.
Do I need a lawyer instead?+
For a clean first permit or renewal, no. If you have a prior refusal, a criminal record, an appeal, or a security question, yes, and we will tell you so and refund you.
How long does it take?+
The law says 15 days for a unified permit and 30 for plain residence, from a complete application. In practice, plan for four to ten weeks end to end. We show you where you are the whole time.
